Fans of AlDub felt somewhat ‘vindicated’ that the magic of AlDub nation are still very much alive after the Kalyeserye love team of Alden Richards and Maine ‘Yaya Dub’ Mendoza received the Prince & Princess of Philippine Movies for the year 2016 awards from the Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Foundation.
AlDub’s ongoing Kapuso TV series, “Destined To Be Yours,” was recently involved in a controversy after the said network’s very own Creative Consultant, Suzette Doctolero who apparently deliberately belittled and made subtle yet derogatory remarks about the show as well as its lead stars.
In fact, there were petitions made for her by fans on change.org to remove her for her remarks citing them as “unprofessional.”
With the latest award received by AlDub, their fans are hoping and praying that Destined To Be Yours will be extended. AlDub nation wishes that they’re voice will soon be heard by the GMA 7 management.
DTBY is AlDub’s primetime drama series where the phenomenal love team’s mass appeal was officially tested. There have been talks that it’s not rating well as expected, thus it might be axed soon.
