New Kapamilya daytime teleserye winning pilot episode and Kapuso epic series getting back its throne.
According to the latest AGB Nielsen NUTAM People ratings for May 1 – 3, 2017, ABS-CBN’s latest daytime teleserye “Ikaw Lang Ang Iibigin” won on its pilot episode against rival Kapuso “Trops”. The Kimerald reunion teleserye registered a ratings of 5.8%, 0.9% higher than “Trops'” 4.9%. “Ikaw Lang Ang Iibigin” replaced the former pre-noontime teleserye “Langit Lupa” which had its finale episode last Friday April 28.
This is the Kimerald’s 4th teleserye following “Sana Maulit Muli”, “My Girl”, “Tayong Dalawa” and “Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo”. And this is also their 1st reunion teleserye with Jake Cuenca since “Tayong Dalawa”.
Meanwhile, over at primetime, Kapuso epic serye “Encantadia” is back on top of primetime rankings. After several switching in primetime leadership last week, “Encantadia” secured the top spot for 3 days in a row beating ABS-CBN’s FPJ’s “Ang Probinsyano”. “Encantadia” which is on its last 2 weeks of airing, scored 11.8%, 11.5% and 12.9% ratings respectively versus “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano’s” 10.6%, 11.2% and 10.4%.
Will “Encantadia” end on top or will the Coco Martin led action-drama teleserye spoil its ending?
