The role of Matteo Do for Pinoy adaptation of “My Love from the Star” will be slightly different from the character of the original Korean series.
That’s according to Gil Cueva, the main character on the said remake, based on the article published by entertainment site PEP.ph.
“I think this role is very Filipinized, this is the Philippine remake of ‘My Love From The Star’. So I guess what fans can expect is that this Matteo will be more Filipino than Korean.”
The new Kapuso actor also said that Filipino viewers might be able to relate more with his character, although Matteo’s stoic and reserved side will still be retained.
Gil then emphasized, “But at the same time, there are some nuances na mas related sa mga Filipinos, sa mga Pinoys versus sa original version which is the Korean version.”
Gil also talked about the famous shower scene from the original series. He revealed he has yet to shoot it.
