Prior to the official announcement of Star Cinema that Liza Soberano will be playing the role of Darna, the actresses who will portray the supervillains in the much-awaited movie of the same name have circulated online on May 29.
Speculations say that “It’s Showtime” host Anne Curtis will be playing Valentina — a snake goddess who is the mortal enemy of Darna. If the rumor is true, then Anne will be following the footsteps of Pilar Pilapil, Pilita Corales and Cherry Gil, who have played the coveted role in different “Darna” movie versions.
It could be remembered that during the April 28, 2017 episode of “It’s Showtime”, host Vice Ganda hinted that Anne is shooting a project, to which Anne warned him not to spoil the secret.
To make the movie the film more exciting, actress Iza Calzado is rumored to act as another supervillainess. Apparently, both Anne and Iza have been keeping their body as fit as possible to prepare for their roles in this much-awaited film.
