GMA Artist Center appeals to netizens to stop insulting Alden Richards’ stylist

GMA Artist Center (GMAAC) appealed to netizens to stop insulting Alden Richards’ styling team inspite of criticisms the actor has been receiving due to the outfit he wore at the Mega Millennial Ball held at the City of Dreams Manila.

According to Abante Tonite, the talent agency stressed that the styling team has no intention to ridicule the Kalyeserye Star at the event.

GMAAC also clarified that they did not fired the stylist team because they are not employed at their agency. However, the talent agency stressed that they might not hire the styling team in the future.

It could be recalled that netizens labeled the “Eat Bulaga” host as the worst dressed during the event.

Some netizen claimed that Alden looked like he was attending a christening while some other said that Alden resembled a teacher, a driver, a governor, and even a priest.

Moreover, some fans suggested to fire Alden’s stylist as he became a fashion victim that night compared to Kapamilya stars that graced the event with the glamorous outfits.

In one of her interview, Carlites de Guzman expressed her disappointment over the incident. “Kaya galit na galit ako nu’ng isang gabi, eh. Sabi ko, hindi pinag-isipan. Ginawa siyang kawawa. Wala lang choice si Alden kasi mas worse pa ‘yung ibang damit na pagpipilian,” she said.

Alden’s stylist was The StyleList, Inc.; and according to the its Instagram account, the actor’s outfit at the event was a custom modern take by designer Joey Samson on classic men’s shirting with hand embroidered Ilocano literature back detail. They added that the “Eat Bulaga” had also wearing a pair of Louis Vuitton shoes.
