  • After taking a break from showbiz early this year, Derek Ramsay shared that he is playing support in his comeback movie.
  • Derek said he is fine being a supporting actor as long as he’s having fun filming.

TV Host/Actor Derek Ramsay is back focusing on his showbiz career after taking a short hiatus. The sexy actor was busy with the World Championships of Beach Ultimate or Frisbee in Boracay and France.

He devoted time for training since January until July. He eventually placed 4th in the international competition, which he considered an achievement.

“Nag-4th place kami sa buong mundo which is not bad out of 30 countries but talagang really disappointed kami kasi talagang pinaghirapan namin ‘yun,” he shared.

During a press conference yesterday for his mini series on TV5, Derek shared that he’s glad to return and that he’s excited for the premier of this show on August 20 at 9:30pm.

The said series titled “Amo” will be headlined by actor Vince Rillon. Derek will be playing a police officer in the 12-episode show.

Despite not being the lead actor, Derek is grateful for the project because it has a challenging role and they are very much happy on set.

The 40-year-old loyal TV5 talent also told the press that he will be starring in a movie entry for this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival. He didn’t indulge the details yet due to disclosure agreements.
