Rep. Pia Cayetano corrected ANC’s incorrect photo of President Duterte’s visit to Taguig jail.
Taguig City Representative Pia Cayetano corrected ANC’s wrong photo published on their Facebook page regarding President Rodrigo Duterte’s visit to Camp Bagong Diwa.
On her Facebook page, the Taguig Representative posted the actual pictures of President’s visit taken by government channel PTV 4.
“We took the initiative of reposting real photos from Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte’s visit to the BJMP facilities in Camp Bagong Diwa, Taguig City yesterday, Oct.18,” she said.
Cayetano said she did the correction to clear the wrong impression created by the wrong photo posted by ANC.
“This is to correct any misimpressions vs the President, Taguig City and BJMP that may have been caused by an inaccurate photo posted by ANC 24/7 last night,” she added.
President Duterte was in Camp Bagong Diwa last Wednesday to check the facility and conditions of the inmates. During the visit, President Duterte praised BJMP for doing a good job in running Camp Bagong Diwa.
Meanwhile, after being called out for the wrong photo, ANC corrected itself and upload the right photo of the President’s visit.
In an edited Facebook post, ANC apologized for the erroneous photo uploaded with regards to the story on Pres. Duterte’s visit to the Taguig detention facility.
“Editor’s note: An earlier version of this story used a file photo of a jail in Quezon City. It has been updated to reflect President Duterte’s visit. We regret the error.” ANC wrote on the post.
