Actress and original SexBomb Girls member Sunshine Garcia chose restraint and prayer over controversy when asked about the backlash faced by fellow SexBomb Izzy Trazona and her husband, Alvin Aragon.

Sunshine was among the celebrities who attended the Chinese New Year celebration of Beautederm held at its headquarters in Angeles City, Pampanga on February 17, 2026.
During interviews with invited media, including LionhearTV, she was asked to react to the criticism directed at Izzy and Alvin following the latter’s controversial remarks about the group’s costumes and dance style.
Alvin’s statements previously drew backlash online, with some bashers also dragging Sunshine’s husband, Alex Castro, saying he should not have allowed her to perform at the reunion concert of the iconic all-female group.
Sunshine, however, declined to escalate the issue.
“Ayaw ko na mag-comment kasi sabi nga ng asawa ko na huwag na nating patulan. Mas maraming dapat asikasuhin, problemahin, at solusyunan,” she told reporters.
She emphasized respect despite differing opinions.
“Ibigay na natin ‘yon sa kanila. Kung sinabi nila ‘yon, personal na opinion nila ‘yon. Wala tayong magagawa roon. Magrespetuhan na lang tayo,” she added.
Instead of issuing criticism, Sunshine offered prayers.
“Ipagpi-pray namin kayo at ‘yong buong pamilya n’yo. Walang halong kaplastikan. Kailangan nilang malampasan ‘yan,” she said.
She also assured that there is no personal rift between her and Izzy, expressing confidence that they would embrace if they saw each other again.
The event where Sunshine made her remarks was part of Beautederm’s annual Chinese New Year gathering, which brought together ambassadors, media partners, influencers, and business collaborators.
For founder Rhea Anicoche-Tan, the celebration marked the third Chinese New Year held at the company’s Angeles City headquarters — a milestone reflecting both growth and stability.
“This is also the third Chinese New Year celebration in this building,” Anicoche-Tan noted, calling it “a meaningful reminder of how far we’ve come and how blessed we have been.”
Referencing the Year of the Horse, she added: “The power of the horse brings rapid success, bold movement, and great adventure. The horse symbolizes strength, passion, and determination.”
Beyond festivity, the gathering underscored Beautederm’s continued expansion from a niche beauty brand into a diversified group of companies.
“To our Ambassadors, our media friends, influencers, and partners, thank you for your love, loyalty, and belief in Beautéderm,” Anicoche-Tan said. “You inspire us to dream bigger and achieve more each year.”

Headquartered in Angeles City, Beautederm Group of Companies continues to position itself as a growing force in the Philippine beauty and lifestyle industry.
