James Reid and Nadine Lustre visited Gandang Gabi Vice in January 28, Sunday. Vice Ganda also revealed that James turned out to be the clingier one in the relationship. James and Nadine will soon celebrate their second-year-anniversary in February 11, Sunday.
James, then, explained that they are at the happiest point of their relationship.
“I think now it’s probably the most happiest we’ve been. We’ve had hard times, especially last year, Nadine and I went through a lot of hard times but I feel like we’re at the happiest right now.”
Nadine also shared that the past year has taken a toll on her emotions.
“Last year ang dami kong pinagdaanan, grabe. Iba din kasi yung mood swings ko, iba. Para siyang roller coaster talaga. Tapos bigla na lang ako nagagalit. Bigla na lang umiinit yung ulo ko ganun.”
She continued to share her promise to James on telling him his emotions and discoveries.
“So parang ngayon, parang nag-promise ako sa kanya na lahat ng nararamdaman ko, mas open na ako sa kanya. As in yung emotions ko, mga discoveries ko, lahat sinasabi ko sa kanya so parang nagre-recap kami.”
Nadine also revealed one of their huge arguments from the past year.
“One time nag-aargue na lang kami bigla tapos parang nasabi ko sa kanya na, kaya hindi ako nag-oopen up sa kanya, kasi hindi siya nakikinig. Kaya sa ibang tao ako nag-oopen up… Nakikinig naman siya.. parang siguro medyo reluctant ako magkuwento sa kanya. So parang ang ending feeling ko ayaw niyang makinig.”
James explained how he handled Nadine’s emotional outbursts.
“I really had to be patient with her and give her time. She keeps trying to be strong for everyone. I kept telling her it’s okay to cry. It’s okay, you need to feel it.”
James exposed the nickname Nadine gave him, Bumbum. Nadine shyly explained why she called him, Bumbum.
“Kasi cute yung pwet niya… Yung iba kasi pag nagdyi-gym, kasi di ba maumbok, yung sa kanya medyo conservative.”
Vice was amazed he felt when he found out how much James loves Nadine. According to Vice, James opened up about how he needs Nadine in his life. He further continued to say that James went on to say, “I don’t have to pretend. I can be myself with Nadine.” James, then, explained that he feels safe with Nadine.
“With Nadine I just feel I’m just safe like I can’t explain it, whatever life throws at us, or even showbiz, I feel like I can overcome it. Something like that. I feel safer.”
Vice asked James and Nadine whether they sleep in one bed together.
“Sa shoot ganun, sa service.”, Nadine admitted.
Vice also asked them whether they live in one house together.
“Punta-punta lang.”
However, Vice threw another question whether they are allowed to spend a night in each other’s houses. This earned screams from the audience but James and Nadine remained laughing and smiling. Nadine, then, decided to break the noise and said:
“Hmm, next question!”
