Maine Mendoza recently used her popularity and influence over people to help a netizen in need. Jiselle “Jessie” Barrios Raquem had been looking and asking for help through her own Twitter account.
At one point, she wanted to catch a local celebrity’s attention just to ask for help. Maine, fortunately, caught her attention and asked her Twitter followers to help Jessie for her own bone marrow transplant.
Jessie’s tweet also read:
“hi @mainedcm! Birthday ko po ngaun, wish ko lang ishare niyo sana tong tweet ko para makapagraise ako fund for my bone marrow transplant. maraming salamat po! Godbless”
Maine, then, quote tweeted it and wrote:
“Let’s help Jessie! Salamat in advance sa iba pang tutulong!”
Overwhelmed from happiness and hope, she also replied:
“Maine!!!! Napaiyak ako sa tuwa ng mabasa ko retweet mo! 
maraming salamat kasi napansin mo ako… Napakalaking tulong,.. Pati yung mga messages ng ADN, ansarap basahin.. nakakapagpapakas ng loob sobra.. Maraming salamat po ALDUBNATION.. Godbless po kayong lahat..

Jessie retweeted it and pinned her tweet on her profile:

Jessie received messages and donations from the AlDub Nation. She currently needs to raise 4-million-peso for the bone marrow transplant, her medication and treatment. As of this writing, she has a total of Php168,520. Maine’s fans had been a huge help in raising the numbers and she feels very thankful.
In another tweet, Jessie thanked the AlDub community:
