In early March of this year, Joshua Garcia recently went under hot water after a private message to mystery girl. In a recent episode of Tonight with Boy Abunda, Joshua seemed to have admitted his wrongdoing in national television.
The said exchange with the said mystery girl, then, caused a huge fight between him and current onscreen partner and girlfriend Julia Barretto.
In the said episode of Tonight with Boy Abunda, Joshua teared up as he shared the painful experience. He went on to clear the air and reveal what really happened between him and Dane Rhea Sillo.
In the screenshots that circulated around social media, Joshua slid into Dane’s DMs and remarked, “Art photo” to one of her swimsuit photos on Instagram.
When Boy asked about Dane’s identity in Joshua’s life, the young actor admitted that he didn’t know her personally. Joshua said that he only wanted to compliment her, not flirt with her. He added that he would have had said ‘hi’ first if he wanted to flirt with the unsuspecting girl and that the alleged Facebook messages between him and Dane weren’t real as he never created a conversation with her.
“Wala lang po siya. Wala siya sa buhay ko. Hindi siya naging parte, o kahit ano. Nag-comment ako sa kanya, nag-compliment lang naman ako sa picture, e. Wala namang nangyaring conversation.”
Joshua teared up as he recalled hate comments after hate comments against him. He also couldn’t fathom why a lot had suddenly judged him.
“Siguro kasi, nakahanap ‘yung mga basher ko ng… Hindi kasi madali ‘yung nangyaring iyon, e. Ang daming nag-judge.”
Joshua revealed that the incident caused a huge fight between him and Julia. However, they remained strong through the challenge and patched things up.
“Dahil doon, yes, (nag-away kami). Naayos. Hindi lang naging madali pero kaya naman. Sobrang okay naman ngayon.”
Joshua recalled what he told Julia when she found out about the exchange.
“Sinabi ko sa kanya na, siyempre, ‘I apologize for what happened,’ and sinabi ko na, ‘Challenge lang ‘to na kailangan natin malampasan.'”
Joshua confessed that he learned something from the issue. However, he felt bad that Julia had to be hurt in the process.
“Siyempre nagsisi din ako na ginawa ko ‘yun, kasi nagalit ‘yung mahal ko sa buhay… Masaya ako na nangyari ‘yun, kasi may mga natutunan ako, na ingatan ko ‘yung ginagalawan kong mundo. Siguro may gusto sa ‘kin iparating si Lord, may gusto siya na matutunan ko, and narinig ko siya.”
