The brothers Erwin and Ben Tulfo were recently outraged to their co-newscaster Mike Enriquez of the Kapuso Network. They weren’t happy when Mike attacked the brothers and made fun of a supposedly serious issue regarding the current issue PTV-4 is facing with COA.
On May 1, Ben Tulfo posted on their BITAG Live Facebook page that he won’t let Mike get away with this.
He wrote, “Ginawa moa ko at ang mga kapatid ko na ‘kakatawanan.’ P’wes may version din akong katatawanan laban sayo,” he threatened. “You fired the first shot. I’ve no choice but to fire back.”
While the Tulfo brothers and Mike Enriquez are clashing out, a co-PTV-4 host “Jules Guiang” makes his own statement on Facebook and disagrees with Ben Tulfo’s post.
Jules Guiang is the host of PTV-4 shows “Bagong Pilipinas” and “Iskollmates.” He said that the reason why he disagrees with Ben is that he doesn’t want some “entitled brothers” to mess up the network.
He also mentioned that the Tulfo brothers’ programs in PTV-4 are just block-timers and their shows aren’t produced by the network. And their struggling to compete with the mainstream media.
Jules explained that his concern is to the contractual workers in PTV who are greatly affected by the issue.
The following day after Jules Guiang’s Facebook post, Erwin Tulfo lashes out on him during the “Ulat Bayan” nightly newscast.
He warned his co-host Diane Querrer, who works with Jules Guiang in the PTV morning program, “Hoy, mag-ingat ka pala ha. Bukas ng umaga, may nakita mga cameraman natin na ahas kaninang umaga. Baka matuklaw ka. Susmaryosep! Direk, pakihanap nga yung ahas bukas ng umaga baka matuklaw si Diane ah.” It was indirect but implied that Tulfo was referring to Jules.
“So mag-ingat, mag-ingat kayo dito, pati mga cameraman. Parang ang scientific name nun ay, eh, Julesus Guyanus. Parang ganun lang,” he added jokingly.
Jules, upon hearing Erwin, remained professional and took the issue lightly.
