It has been three years since Ciara Sotto and Joe Oconer had broken up. Their child, Crixus, was less than a year old when they had the split. However, according to Ciara herself, she is happier than ever.
In an interview with PEP.ph, Ciara also revealed that she will have a project with Danica Sotto soon. She is also happy with the way Crixus is growing up.
In the interview, Ciara is also at peace with her life now.
“I’m happy, lalo na ngayon may project kami ni Danica na ganito. It’s been really good. Life’s been good and I’m very thankful to God for that. I’m very happy with the way Crixus is growing-up. You know, I’m just at peace with my life right now.”
Ciara also shared that she’s happier being a single mother instead of when she and Joe were together.
“For me, yes, of course… Pero ganun naman talaga ang marriage. Meron kayong pagdadaanan na mahirap… But then again, kapag hindi mo na talaga kaya and you think you’re compromising your own self, your own happiness, [if] it’s not making you a better person anymore, and you’re not happy with yourself anymore… And I have zero tolerance for cheating. So, I think it’s time to let go.”
Ciara also joked that no one would file the annulment if she didn’t.
“Ako ang nag-file, kasi sino pa ba magpa-file?”
Ciara also thought that it would be easier for her son.
“Pero kasi, feeling ko rin, habang maliit si Crixus, mas madali for the kid. Kesa paglaki pa niya, mas marami na siyang tanong. ‘Bakit ka nagpupunta sa court?’ It would be easier for him. Yung anak ko rin ang iniisip ko.”
When Ciara was asked about her the third party rumors regarding Valeen Montenegro, she didn’t want to comment on it.
In an interview with PEP.ph, Valeen expressed that she just got involved with Ciara and Joe’s break-up. However, Ciara only stated that Valeen just pointed out her version of truth.
“Actually, if that’s her version of the truth, I cannot comment on that. Pero ako kasi, takot akong magsinungaling. Liars go to hell, di ba?”
Ciara also confirmed that they broke up for so many reasons but the third party became the triggering factor.
“Yes, yes, but it’s not just because of that. Marami na kasing… pero yun talaga ang nag-trigger. So, for me, that’s enough. I feel very disrespected. Matagal na yun and nagpa-file na kami ng annulment ngayon.”
According to Ciara, it wasn’t hard to move on from what happened during the marriage life.
“Hindi madali. Siguro for one year, masakit pa, fresh pa. But then again, for me, makikita mo support system ng family ko, yung anak ko. He’s such a joy to be with. So, parang mas naging madali. And number one talaga is God. God really gave me the strength.”
