  • Maybank marks another milestone in the Philippine banking industry with new products and services.
  • Maybank MOVE campaign will also allow customers to open an online-only savings account called iSave.
  • The said campaign is dubbed as MOVE: Mobile Optimized for better Virtual Experiences.

Maybank, Asia’s leading banking group and Southeast Asia’s 4th largest bank by assets, recently launched a new campaign dubbed as MOVE: Mobile Optimized for better Virtual Experiences on August 9, Thursday. This marked another milestone in the Philippine banking industry with their new products and services. Maybank Philippines, Inc. (MPI) already has 74 branches nationwide, making it the most accessible foreign bank in the Philippines.

Maybank MOVE campaign

Maybank MOVE remains the first in the industry to fully have an integrated digital offering which aims to enhance and simplify the process of performing financial services through its new straight-through banking processes (STP). The campaign will also allow customers to open an online-only savings account called iSave.

The said account will be used through Maybank2U PH App available in Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Maybank’s new straight through processing capabilities will also allow customers to apply for credit cards and auto-mobile financing from the comfort of their own homes or even on the go, beyond banking hours.

What is MOVE?

Maybank created the said campaign to show support for Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas’ financial inclusion agenda which included making banking accessible to more Filipinos. Choong Wai Hong, Maybank Philippines President and Chief Executive Officer described what MOVE really is.

“For Maybank, MOVE is about enriching our offerings through digital banking which is in line with our commitment to leverage on cutting edge technology as well as our strategic objective of being the digital bank of choice in the region.

“Our digital approach is centered on four key areas: enriching our customer offerings, investing in strategic capabilities, exploring broadly and understanding deeply the landscape, and building and participating in the digital ecosystem, which includes engaging with regulators, Fintech companies and global leaders to build truly differentiated digital offerings for our customers.“

MOVE and its offerings

Dexter Go, Head of Virtual Banking Maybank Philippines added their vision for the bank.

“In 2019, we envision the Bank to continue enhancing our services for existing and prospective clients. Rest assured that we will revolutionize our customers’ banking experience to keep abreast of the constantly evolving trends in the market which are all inclined to digital adaptability.

“In this day and age where everything is ultra-fast-paced, banks need to empower and encourage their loyal and future customers by giving them the flexibility of time and opportunities to MOVE – to do more of what they need to do. Maybank is answering this need by providing its clients good, fast and efficient services, lifestyle rewards and all other perks that the digital world has to offer.”

MOVE pop-up store

Maybank Philippines will soon introduce Maybank MOVE store, a mobile pop-up store which can travel across the Philippines to introduce new STP products and processes, promotions and activities. The said pop-up store is an innovative, hip and fun initiative to showcase the array of digital conveniences which Maybank would offer to Filipinos.
