Ruru Madrid tries to catch attention of production to cast him in “Descendants of the Sun?”

After doing the Pinoy adaptation of Koreanovela hit series “My Love From The Star” with Gil Cuerva and Jennylyn Mercado, GMA Network is said to be working on another Korean soap remake titled “Descendants of the Sun.”

“Descendants of the Sun,” features the action-packed love story of Special Forces member of South Korean Army Yoo Si Jin (played by Song Joong-Ki) and female doctor Kang Mo-Yeon (Song Hye-Kyo).

The 16-episode series also narrated later in the story, the struggles of the surgeon Kang Mo-Yeon and UN peacekeeping leader Yoo Si Jin at the beautiful terrain and landscapes of Uruk in the Balkans and also the beautiful isolated beach that belongs to Navagio beach (which means shipwreck beach) in Greece. The Korean drama series had also put together the forbidden and enticing love story of Sergeant Major Seo Dae-young as Jin Goo and Kim Ji-won as First Lieutenant Yoon Myeong-ju.

It’s tagalized version was aired on GMA Network in 2016 during the massive popularity of Korean stars on Philippine TV.

Since GMA Network bought the rights to do a Philippine version of the said TV series, fans are now petitioning for a lot of Kapuso stars to play the role. It has been rumored that Alden Richards will play the role of the male lead act Do Min-joon formerly portrayed by Kim Soo-hyun. Also, Dingdong Dantes’ name came up.

On January 19, Kapuso star Ruru Madrid posted on his Twitter a picture of a scene showing Kang Mo-Yeon and Yoo Si Jin from “Descendants of the Sun.”

Is this already a hint for his next soap or he just wants his presence felt for the deliberation on who’s gonna be the chosen cast for GMA Network’s adaptation of “Descendants of the Sun?”

This post of Ruru gave some fans a hope for another possible KyRu project (with Kylie Padilla) and since he became a guest in last week’s “Daddy’s Gurl,” some fans are now shipping a new tandem with Maine Mendoza.
