- PBB Otso housemate Aljon Mendoza shared that being homesick was his greatest struggle during his stay inside the Big Brother House

‘Pinoy Big Brother: Otso’ teen housemate Aljon Mendoza has been one of the few housemates that created a buzz in the outside world. It started with his love interest with co-housemate Karina Bautista, forming a third party involvement for Karina, who was previously in a 4-year relationship. Despite the issues, Aljon shared other struggles that he encountered during his stay in the Big Brother House.
When asked about his hardest experience during his stay in the PBB house, he stated that it was being homesick to his family, but he stood strong and remained determined to achieve his dream.
“Pinakamahirap po talaga sa akin, ‘yung na-homesick ako. Na-miss ko po ‘yung pamilya ko, kasi hindi ko sila nakikita, kahit boses, kahit anino, wala po akong makita sa kanila. Lagi ko pong naaalala ‘yung pamilya ko. Naiisip ko po kung kamusta na sila. Sobrang hirap po nu’n sa feeling, na kailangan mong gawin, kahit hindi mo sila makita para sa pangarap mo.”
He also shared his greatest experience during his stay by stating that it was finding a new family with other people that were not related to him. And he expressed the closeness that they’ve built up in their relationships.
“Nakahanap po ako ng bagong pamilya na hindi ko naman po kaano-ano. Sobrang magkakalapit po kami ngayon. Isang tawag lang po, alam po namin na nandito lang kami para sa isa’t isa.”
He was also asked on the things that he was not able to do after joining the entertainment industry, as one of the PBB Otso teen housemates. He said that he no longer was able to catch up with friends.

“Hindi ko na po nakakasama ‘yung mga kaibigan ko.”
The main reason why Aljon joined the reality show was because of his dream of being an actor. And this dream of his is finally achieved after having him as one of the cast memebers in the upcoming ABS-CBN television series ‘Sandugo’ that’s topbilled by Aljur Abrenica and Ejay Falcon. Aljon will be playing as Elisse Joson’s brother.
He also shared that if he were to be partnered with a showbiz crush, he would choose Ylona Garcia but he also emphasized that if he was to have a loveteam partner then he would directly be choosing his co-housemate Karina Bautista.
