Shaina Magdayao, ABS-CBN’s talent for 23 years, surprised her fans as she is recently speculated to transfer to its rival network. This rumor started after a blind item was disclosed that one of the siblings of a female Kapamilya talent will be transferring to GMA Network.
As of the moment, there are only the Gonzaga sisters (Tony and Alex) and the Magdayao sisters (Vina and Shaina) under the Kapamilya network.
Since Shaina is out of town during the occurrence of this speculation, it was her older sister Sheila Magdayao who clarified the matter.
The entertainment site Bandera was able to reach Sheila Magdayao and questioned her about the truth regarding this rumor. Sheila directly stated that this decision has not yet been raised by Shaina, and she clarified that she would know if decisions like this are made for they always gather to have a discussion.
“Wala namang nababanggit si Shaina, Regs kasi kung lilipat siya, magsasabi ‘yan. So far wala, eh. Saka alam ko may gagawin yata siya sa ABS, may mga show pa siya abroad, eh.”
On the other note, if ever Shaina would really be transferring to the GMA Network, Sheila would gladly approve of her sisters’ decision, emphasizing that it’s work and it’s nothing personal. If Shaina will be given a higher offer by the other network why not grab the opportunity.
“E, kung may offer at maganda naman bakit hindi, di ba? Negosyo ‘yan, eh. Walang personalan. Saka nag-work hard na rin naman si Shaina sa ABS at binayaran naman din siya roon, so wala naman din masama if ever na lumipat siya. Kung malaki ang offer why not! Ganu’n naman, maaraming lumilipat sa GMA to ABS, then ABS to GMA, ganu’n lang ‘yun.”
On Vina Morales side, Sheila stated that Vina is currently happy and busy for her upcoming series ‘Sandugo.’
“Si Vina ang sobrang tuwang-tuwa kasi may bago siyang show ngayon (ang seryeng Sandugo) nag-taping na nga siya. Hayun panay ang post sa Instagram. Kaya alam ko ang nangyayari sa kanila kasi nagsasabi sila sa akin.”
Shaina’s career started with GMA Network in 1996 as a child star. Her first-ever project was ‘Lyra’ which ran for 9 months.
