The upcoming film “Darna” has already trended despite the incomplete information about the whole movie and which added to the trend of the movie, because of Liza’s exit as Darna because of a finger injury that she obtained while taping for the Bagani series.
Darna was, at the start, directed by one of the sought-after directors, Erik Matti. He revealed his personal pick on who he would want the next Darna to be. On the press conference on his film “Kuwaresma,” he revealed that he considers Nadine Lustre as his personal pick.
“Ang feeling ko lang, si Nadine ‘yung babagay talaga sa tipo niya, sa tipo na role ni Darna.”
He also added that Narda, the alter ego of Darna symbolizes an ordinary woman that got superpowers where he believes that Nadine got these features.
“Para sa akin, si Narda sa pagkakakilala natin ordinary siya. Ordinaryong bata na nag karoon ng superpower. So, kailangan mo, yung casting na pag ordinary siya, ordinary talaga ang hitsura niya.”
“So, ang kayang maging ganoon, si Nadine. Puwede siyang ordinary na Filipina. Tapos, kapag nagiging superhero, puwede ring sexy na matapng, may dating, ‘di ba? ‘Yung ganoon. Wala na akong ibang naiisip, ‘yun na ‘yun. Kasi, kailangan mo rin ‘yung physical.”
As of now, Star Cinema is still on the hunt for the next actress who will portray the next Darna.
