Jake Zyrus reemerges in the limelight by being the finest version of himself yet, as he chronicles his progress not only as a proud transman but more importantly as a music artist in his latest album, “Evolution.”
“The “Evolution” title is not just about my transition, but the evolution of my life.
It’s kind of like the theme song of every chapter of my life.
Everything connects with my life, with my voice, hence, evolution,” Jake said on the reason behind the album’s title.
Produced under Star Music, the album boasts of various tracks that will surely highlight Jake’s distinctive ability to croon listeners.
“I always ask him where he is creatively, emotionally, and what he wants to say with the lyrics.
So all of it—the creative direction and the personal stories behind the songs—are from Jake’s direction,” added Star Music audio content head Jonathan Manalo.
In September 2018, he released “Diamond,” the first single in the album which he described as his survival anthem.
Aside from this, his fans can also look forward to other original songs such as “DNM,” “Love Even If,” and “Tapestry.”
The audacious singer carries a newfound confidence through his noticeably deeper voice evident in the seven-track “Evolution” album, proving that his talent in singing will never fade away and can only get so much better.
