The ABS-CBN Ball is one of showbiz and fashion’s biggest events of the year. As celebs walk the red carpet in their designer-best, all eyes are on them to praise or to criticize.
Kapamilya stars Vice Ganda and Anne Curtis expressed their thoughts about criticisms about their ‘okray’ outfits. The It’s Showtime hosts laughed off some netizens’ comments about outfits.
Vice said that he read a comment that his dress was like a huge “lumpia wrapper.”
“Yung mga tao, kung ano-anong sinasabi sa mga damit namin. Yung damit ko daw, ang laki-laking pambalot ng lumpia… Anti-dengue outfit daw yung damit ko,” Vice stressed.
Vice even joked that he won’t be attending the ball next year since his gown is always made fun of.
“Kaya hindi na ako a-attend next year. Ino-okray lang yung mga damit… Ang bigat-bigat no’ng binibitbit kong gown tapos inokray-okray lang,” he added.
Anne, meanwhile, shared that some netizens thought that her lavender gown was like the one being used for confessions inside the church.
“Ang sa akin daw yung pangkumpisal dahil sa laki.”
Most netizens were actually appreciative of the two stars and look forward to what they would be wearing.
Yes, I am a Christian and I was actually referring to Vice Ganda’s dress at the ABSCBN Ball. I don’t see anything wrong with what he’s wearing kasi it’s a form of art and expression. Inspired lang yung tao sa Met Gala 2018 and he obviously has no bad intentions from it so CHILL!
