Filipina-American actress Roxanne Barcelo caught the interest of viewers after performing in the Tawag ng Tanghalan Celebrity Edition. Her charming rendition of “Ugoy ng Duyan” made her “Madlang People’s Choice” with the most public votes.
The actress even had her name trending on Twitter since she competed in the singing competition of It’s Showtime. Many viewers are now requesting to see her again on the top-rating show.
Hearing this, Roxanne shared her happiness for the praises she received after performing in the said singing competition.
“I feel complete,” she said to the entertainment press.
Roxanne was then asked if she is considering the idea of joining It’s Showtime as a co-host.
The actress then laughingly replied, “Naka-standby lang ako waiting on the blessings of the Lord.”
“‘I’m just waiting on the blessings of the Lord hahaha!” she repeated.
She also narrated how she finds It’s Showtime and Gandang Gabi, Vice host Vice Ganda.
“Nag-guest kami sa GGV ni Miss Ethel (Booba).So on and off cam si Vice, he’s always been a loving person.”
Roxanne implied that she had always wanted to be part of the noontime show.
She recalled, “Nung kaibigan ko pa si Eruption (Eric Tai), nasa Showtime pa siya kinukulit ko ‘yan lagi. ‘Isama mo naman ako sa Showtime. i-PA mo lang ako isang beses.’Yung biro na ganun pero totoo.”
The actress then talked about her love life and revealed she has been single for three years now though she goes out on dates.
“May mga nag d-DM, pero kasi ever since naman ang DM is not equivalent to nanliligaw. Sa akin ang ligaw is dumalaw kay madir. Kung nakapunta kay madir ‘yun ang counted,” she quipped.
Despite having many suitors, the actress said that she is still waiting for the right person who will have a good chemistry with her.
“Yun yung inaantay ko, the spark. Kasi hindi pwedeng wala. Kailangan may electricity,” she said.

When asked about the traits she looks for in a partner, Roxanne responded, “Pero yung character na hinahanap ko sa isang lalaki, very close sa tatay ko. Very specific yung ganung klaseng pagmamahal na rational na may certain intelligence na hindi ako mabo-bore kasi very outgoing ako.”
In 2006, Roxanne became one of the 14 housemates of ABS-CBN’s Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Edition. Before entering the Big Brother House, she was a finalist of ABC’s Hollywood Dream.S he is known for playing Natalie Alcantara in Wildflower. Roxanne played the role of young Alba, an antagonist and guest character of Los Bastardos.
