The hosts from ABS-CBN’s morning show Umagang Kay Ganda (UKG) proved there was no bad blood between them and GMA Network’s program Unang Hirit by greeting them on their 20th anniversary celebration.
Through a video,UKG hosts Long Mejia, Ariel Ureta, Winnie Cordero, Jorge Carino, Anthony Taberna, Amy Perez, Jeff Canoy, Ariella Arida, and K Brosas greeted their rival show a happy anniversary.
Jeff Canoy posted the video, which was also aired on live TV, on his Twitter account on December 3.
He said, “Mula po sa pambansang morning show ng Pilipinas, happy anniversary, Unang Hirit!”
Jeff also captioned his tweet, “Mula sa @ukgdos, happy 20th anniversary sa @UnangHirit!”

On the same day, the Unang Hirit hosts then thanked the UKG hosts live on TV in appreciation for their greetings.
Arnold Clavio said, “Nais nating pasalamatan ang isa sa mga bumati sa atin, ang mga taga-UKG.”
Meanwhile, the other hosts of Unang Hirit Lhar Santiago, Suzi Entrata, Luanne Dy, Susan Enriquez, Pia Arcangel, and Mang Tani Cruz also cheered and waved hello to the Kapamilya hosts.
On Instagram, Arnold took a video of himself and said, “Sa mga bumubuo po ng UKG, maraming salamat sa inyo pong naging pagbati po sa amin sa Unang Hirit.”
He wrote in his caption, “Maraming salamat sa pagbati @iamtunying28 at sa @ukgdos”

Unang Hirit, which started to air on December 6, 1999, is considered to be the longest-running morning show in the Philippines. On the other hand,Umagang Kay Ganda made their debut episode on June 25, 2007.
Prior to competing with UKG for 12 years, Unang Hirit had faced several opponents which were Alas Singko Y Medya (1995-2002), Magandang Umaga, Bayan (2002-2005), and Magandang Umaga, Pilipinas (2005-2007).
