At a press conference for Make It With You, Liza Soberano revealed that she fought for her Enrique Gil when her father disapproved of her getting into a relationship at this time.
The Make It With You lead stars just celebrated their fifth anniversary last October 2019, and fighting for her love is by far the craziest thing that Liza didn’t expect herself to do.
Liza revealed, “I think the craziest thing that I wouldn’t have expect me to do is 17 lang ako nung naging kami, ipinaglaban ko ‘yung relationship namin.”
Liza explained how she was able to fight for her relationship with Enrique. According to Liza, she dared her father to let her be happy, as Enrique makes her happy and comfortable.
“Bawal pa talaga ako mag-boyfriend noon, pero matigas ‘yung ulo ko. Masaya ako, kung gusto mo ako maging masaya, papayagan mo ako.”
Luckily for Enrique, he’s Liza’s first love and hopes that he would also be her last and eternal love.
She stated, “We all have hopes and dreams and your first relationship will be your last. Of course, ipinaglaban ko kasi I was happy being around him, he made me feel comfortable, he made me happy.”

And in case Enrique proposes to her, Liza said, “Hindi ako magdadalawang-isip. Yung kung ready, you can never say that you’re ready or prepared for that big question. Pero, no doubt, I will say yes.”
