Though she weathered the previous year with controversies surrounding her and her family, Julia Barretto started off 2020 with optimism.
Julia, along with her family, celebrated New Year in the US. Posting several photos on Instagram, the Block Z star shared, “It was a year of courage, strength, and most of all, bravery. Life has proven, yet again, that the sun always rises. Feeling really optimistic about 2020.”

In the comment section of her Instagram post, one of her followers asked her if she is okay now to which Julia replied, “happiest I’ve ever been. Thank you for asking.”
The year 2019 turned out to be a tough year for the Kapamilya star. Her career has been quiet ever since her love triangle issue with Gerald Anderson and Bea Alonzo broke out. Julia received heavy criticisms after rumors pointed to her as the cause of Gerald and Bea’s breakup.
It was also the year when she parted ways with her love team partner Joshua Garcia. Julia was also dragged into the feud between her mother Marjorie and her aunts Gretchen and Claudine.
