Klook reveals the top destinations Filipinos want to visit in 2020

MANILA, PHILIPPINES January 14, 2020 -. It’s the start of the new year, which means it’s time to get a headstart on those travel plans! Want to make 2020 your year of travel and need inspiration from your fellow Filipinos? Klook, a world-leading travel activities and services booking platform, revealed the top travel destinations Filipinos are set to visit this 2020.

Based on Klook’s internal booking data, Filipinos bitten by the travel bug are interested in visiting destinations within Asia this year, with Ho Chi Minh, Siem Reap, Hanoi & Halong Bay, and Pattaya topping the list. Aside from these Southeast Asian cities, Shanghai, Kyoto, Gyeonggi-do, and Dubai are also cited as part of Filipinos’ travel bucket list for the year. In 2019, Asian countries also dominated the top overseas travel destinations of Filipinos.

While Asia appears to be a preferred area for travellers from the Philippines, Klook’s data uncovered that Filipinos are becoming more open to exploring other countries beyond Asia in 2020. Klook’s internal booking data also reveals that Filipino travelers are set to visit Paris, France and Sydney, Australia this year.
