If Lotlot de Leon defended her daughter Janine Gutierrez for tweeting her honest opinion about Bong Revilla’s TV comeback, Asia’s Queen of Songs Pilita Corrales was the opposite and scolded her granddaughter Janine.
Pilita revealed in Lolit Solis and Cristy Fermin’s Facebook live video of Take It, Per Minute! (Me Ganun) that she tried to convince Janine that it was wrong to express negativity for an actor trying to regain his acting career.

Pilita told Lolit: “Bago ako mag-umpisa Lolit, pinagalitan ko si Janine kahapon. I said, ‘You’re wrong! You are wrong! When you are wrong, you’re wrong.’”
Janine only uttered, “Yes Mita” to Pilita as the latter continued to scold her.
According to Pilita, she reprimanded the young Kapuso actress as she should be respectful to a veteran actor.
“Ang sabi niya ‘yes Mita, yes Mita. Ang sabi ko, you don’t do that, you can’t say that. Who do you think you are? Sinabi ko talaga sa kanya na sometimes, you just open your mouth and you don’t know. Maybe you meant oh my God, so exciting. You didn’t do that Janine.”
Upon hearing the shocking revelation of Pilita, Lolit said, “Bongga!”
It can be recalled Janine tweeted “oh God’ as a sign of disapproval for Bong’s comeback Sunday show Agimat ng Agila. Lolit then belittled Janine in reply and sarcastically asked if Janine ever had a blockbuster movie or TV project.
“Buti na lang at hindi siya naging box office queen na sana makatulong para sa career ni Bong, dahil wala pa naman ako narinig na naging blockbuster movie niya, or tv show na naging sobra ang taas ng rating, kaya hindi din siya makakatulong sa career ni Bong Revilla.”
Lotlot defended her daughter and stated it would be okay if Lolit would belittle her instead of Janine.
Lotlot said: “Di baleng ako na lang ang sabihan ng masasakit, tawagin ng kung anu-ano huwag lang siya.”
Furthermore, Lotlot encouraged Janine to continue doing good deeds, and it’s okay to express her opinion.
Lotlot continued: “It’s okay to say what you feel, to give your opinion and to be heard. Hindi kabawasan ng pagkatao yun lalo na kung nasa tama naman. These are all the things that I have learned. Babe, I love you. Just continue with all the hard work and keep on swimming.”
Janine’s mother fuming mad on social media
Lotlot de Leon took to social media yesterday, February 5, expressed anger in a controversial social media post for someone she did not name.
On Facebook she said, “Mabuti na lang marunong ako rumespeto sa matanda!!!” she began on Facebook. “Pero minsan lang talaga may mga matanda na hindi ka resperespeto at walang pinagkatandaan! Minsan din ang mga sinungaling kawawa kase sa sobra nilang gusto na sila ang pakinggan kung ano anong storya ang sasabihin nila. I never said anything in the many years! This might be the first!!! Don’t push me!!! 🤬.”
Lotlot also published a lengthy Instagram message to further explain her side. Attached to her IG post is a photo of her whole family, including her now-Lebanese husband Fadi El Soury.
“Pinaghirapan namin ito.. itong relasyon naming lahat para mabuo, maging isa.. we have learned to set aside all our differences, we have learned to forgive. Oo, Hindi naging madali.. it took years to build..but one things for sure ang RESPETO namin para sa isa’t isa ay andyan. We have learned through the years on how to talk, as a FAMILY. Hindi kame perpekto, we have misunderstandings, pero ang isa sa hindi namin gagawin kahit kailan ay ipangalandakan sa buong mundo ang pagkakamali ng isa. Hindi kame Manlalaglag just because we feel or think na mali ang isa! Family is suppose to be about trust, trust that you can tell them anything without judgement. Understanding the other. Personally give advices, solicited or unsolicited na hindi na kakababa ng pagkatao! And TRUTH. You don’t bring one down just to prove na tama ka! We don’t do that! Because nobody deserves to be treated that way! We have never crossed that line because we know it’s WRONG! Ang pamilya ay pamilya kahit ano ang mangyare. I will always protect my FAMILY! NO MATTER WHAT IT TAKES!”
