Among all the things that he loves to do, Marlo Mortel says that singing and composing songs are his first love.
“I’ve been writing songs since I was in third grade. I could draw inspiration from anything, even with a drop of water,” Marlo shared.
During this time of pandemic crisis, Marlo was inspired to compose five original songs and called it “Love on Lockdown Originals”.
“Like with Racing Waters, I just saw drops of waters on my window and came up with a song about #MentalAbuse. But of course, I dig deeper from real-life experiences,” Marlo added.
“I will continue to write and upload original songs as part of my “Love on Lockdown Originals”. I’ll tackle different kinds of Love, and for my 6th song I will be collaborating with a foreign artist for a romantic duet,” Marlo added.
Marlo’s songs, “Seri’s Song”, “Mayakap Kang Muli”, “Racing Waters” are now streaming on Facebook, Instagram TV and Youtube.
Marlo will soon be back in Umagang Kay Ganda as one of the show’s regular hosts.
