‘Sensitive mo na man, Sen.’ Jake Cuenca finds Sen. Bong Go ‘sensitive’ for filing a subpoena against a college student for a critical post

Kapamilya hunk Jake Cuenca could not help but laugh when Senator Bong Go filed a complaint against a college student who allegedly shared what he said could be a libelous post against him.

On the Twitter account of Jake, the actor said that the Senator Bong Go was ‘sensitive’ about that issue and that they have bigger problems facing the country.

“Sensitive mo na man sen. 😂 hindi ba mas malaki ang problema na hinaharap ng bansa natin ngayon?”

Sen. Christopher “Bong” Go filed a complaint against a college student who allegedly shared what he said might be a libelous post against him, but he clarified that he had “nothing against freedom of expression.”

An official from the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) confirmed to ABS-CBN News that Go’s lawyer had filed a complaint with the Cybercrime Division of the Agency but refused to give details.

In a statement of Sen. Christopher “Bong” Go, he clarified that he has nothing against the freedom of expression but must be done responsibly.

“We have nothing against freedom of expression. Karapatan yan ng bawat Pilipino pero kailangan intindihin ng lahat na may kasamang responsibilidad ang mga ito bilang isang mamamayan,” Go said in a statement.

“Paalala lang na tulad mo, may pamilya at anak rin akong nasasaktan sa mga paninira na hindi naman totoo na ibinabato ninyo sa mga taong nagseserbisyo lang para sa kabutihan ng kapwa nating Pilipino.”

While Filipinos have the right to freedom of speech, the aggrieved parties do have the right to defend themselves from false claims, the senator said.

“Para sa mga kritiko, kung totoo ang sinasabi ninyo, ipagpatuloy niyo lang iyan. Nirerespeto namin ang karapatan at opinyon ninyo.”

Netizens, on the other hand, can’t help but side with Jake where others even teased the Senator for being a crybaby.

The actor has been vocal about his support for his home network as seen on his Twitter feed.

I’m witnessing live through social media people losing their jobs and livelihood in Abs cbn and I just can’t believe it sometimes. How can anyone celebrate or be happy about people suffering. Most especially now during a pandemic.

He expressed his dismay that some people were happy that people at ABS-CBN were losing jobs in the middle of a pandemic.

Because of the pandemic dapat nga mas nag tutulungan tayo eh hindi yun binabastos natin lalo ang isat isa. https://t.co/EBVLVXSxqL

Before becoming the mainstay of ABS-CBN, Cuenca was a product of the GMA Network. He was under the direction of the GMA Artist Center from 2003 to 2006. In those years, the actor appeared on several TV shows, such as Click (2002-2003), Hanggang Kailan (2004), Encantadia (2005) and Majika (2006), his last GMA TV series.

It was in 2006 when Jake Cuenca transferred to ABS-CBN and has since been under Star Magic. Since then, Cuenca has given different projects in which he has been able to showcase his acting skills.
