A netizen asked Korina if the rumors regarding her negotiating with TV5 were true. The netizen added that if the rumor turned out to be true, he will be greatly saddened as he claims that Korina is one of the faces that represent ABS-CBN.

“Ma’am totoo bang nakikipagnegosasyon kayo sa TV 5? Isa po ako sa malulungkot, kung totoo yan. Isa po kasi kayo sa mukha ng ABS-CBN,” the netizen wrote.
Korina replied to the netizen saying that he would just have to wait for further announcements or updates from her. She neither confirmed nor denied the rumors about her moving to the Kapatid channel.
“Abangan ang susunod na kabanata. Salamat sa pagmamahal,” Korina answered.
With the shutdown of the ABS-CBN network, many of its employees lost their jobs due to the retrenchment program that the media giant implemented.
The network has already released the contracts of its employees that’s why artists and other workers are free to accept offers from other networks.
Kapamilya artists like Pokwang and Ria Atayde already accepted offers from TV5. They will host the new morning talk show Chika Besh along with Pauleen Luna. Pokwang will also host a game show with Jose Manalo called Fill in the Bank.
Jessy Mendiola also accepted offers of having a program in TV5 with her workout show Fit for Life.
There were also rumors that ABS-CBN sitcom Home Sweetie Home and gag show Banana Sundae will move to TV5 along with Ted Failon and DJ Chacha’s Failon Ngayon.
Recently, Korina Sanchez has revealed that she once dated Venezuelan actor Fernando Carillo. She confirmed this in an interview with entertainment journalist G3 San Diego.
She said that their relationship did not last long because she ran away from the actor.
“Natakot ako. We had a date, and at the end of that date, nagkakaripas ako ng takbo papasok ng kotse ko to leave. Na-tense ako, e,” she stated.
“Walang nangyari. Not even a kiss. Nothing.” she added.
“Fernando is such a darling but you have to be ready for him. Super gwapo, super sweet, pero I really ran away from him,” she further explained.
In the virtual interview, she also said that she does not ask for money from her politician husband Mar Roxas.
“I do not ask money from my husband. Not yet anyway,” Korina said.
“I’m a big believer in a woman earning her own money. This is freedom. And freedom is happiness. This is self-respect. If you respect yourself, others have no choice but to respect you,” she added.
