Actor Diego Loyzaga revealed in an interview that he is ready for mature and daring roles, including doing a kissing scene in a Boys Love series.
In an interview with PUSH, Diego was asked about engaging in mature and daring and roles.
“Oo naman. I won’t even call that as mature role kasi kung ano namang kailangan ng movie, kailangan ng script, ready naman po akong gawin,” he replied.
He was then asked about his readiness for a kissing scene in a BL series.
Diego said that he already talked about this matter with his mother, Teresa Loyzaga, and the latter cannot believe he can do it.
However, Diego said that his passion for acting calls him to do it. He also clarified that the roles he will be portraying do not necessarily reflect his persona.
“Ako naman, meron talaga akong passion sa isang story or kuwento kapag na-hook ako do’n sa kuwento, eh. If I see it in the script na I know this is really a good story, maganda yung moral lesson. Yon naman ako, eh,” he said.
“I mean, it’s just another role, another character that I’m portraying. It doesn’t reflect naman kung ano yung hilig ko sa buhay. I’m just doing my job as an artist, to portray a role of somebody else.” he added.
He then confirmed that he is ready for daring roles but not yet too vulgar.
“So, oo naman po, I am willing. Huwag lang siguro na ganun kabulgar agad-agad. Maybe we can work towards that, pero comfortable naman po ako,” he justified.
He took a break from showbiz as he refocused on his priorities and gave importance to his mental health.
