The Pinay Beauty Queen said in a tweet last Tuesday, that she has been on the critics’ radar long before she entered the prestigious pageant five years ago and she is already accustomed to the bashing.
“Pag bukas ko ng Twitter ko nagdagsaan nanaman yung mga bashers. Hahaha. Sanay na sanay na po ako sa ganito. Noon pa man ay binabash na ko, even before Miss U.”

The latest attack of bashers came after she tweeted negatively about U.S. Marine Lance Corporal Joseph Scott Pemberton who was given an absolute pardon by President Rodrigo Duterte. Pemberton was convicted for killing transgender woman Jennifer Laude.

Back in 2014, U.S. Marine Lance Corporal Joseph Scott Pemberton was convicted of murdering Jeffrey “Jennifer” Laude, a Filipino trans woman.
But on Monday, President Rodrigo Duterte pardoned Pemberton after just serving about just half of his sentence. The pardon came in the middle of a legal battle over the early release from jail of Pemberton.

According to the President, Pemberton was treated unfairly after his actions while in custody and was not properly checked by the Philippine authorities for good behavior time credits, “Pag walang record di mo malaman kung nabilang ba o hindi. Pag ka ganon hindi kasalanan ni Pemberton. He is not required to keep a record of his own and characterize his behavior while inside the prison.”
Because of this verdict, this sparked negative reactions and remarks from netizens and personalities on how unfair and biased the laws are under the current Duterte Administration.
