Ruru Madrid dismisses criticisms regarding his alleged copying of BTS member V’s fashion style

But despite all the negative criticisms about him, Madrid said that he won’t let anyone affect him and will continue being a fan of the said K-pop group.

Kapuso star Ruru Madrid responded to a netizen when asked about his reaction about people bashing him because of his alleged copying of BTS’s Kim Taehyung.

BTS is a South Korean K-pop all-male group where Kim Taehyung or better known as V belongs. Madrid happens to idolize the K-pop star.

Some netizens, especially the fans of BTS called ‘Army’, have been criticizing Madrid because they were upset that the young artist has been copying V’s fashion style.

On his Twitter account, the 22-year old artist mentioned that he understands if the Army people have been bashing him because he seems to be copying V. He said that it may only be because they love their idol so much and don’t want anyone to copy them.

But despite all the negative criticisms about him, Madrid said that he won’t let anyone affect him and will continue being a fan of the said K-pop group.

“Ayos lang po. Naiintindihan ko naman po sila siguro ganun lang po talaga nila kamahal ang BTS. Pero di naman po ako papaapekto, patuloy pa rin ako magiging fan at susupprta sa kanila. Borahae,” he wrote.

Recently, Madrid also responded to a basher when his new fashion style was questioned. In an Instagram post, he posted a photo of himself in a vintage-like outfit with a caption, “Escape the ordinary”.

A netizen pointed out on Instagram that Madrid’s style was not like how it used to before saying, “Hindi ganyan pormahan mo noon, anyare? HAHAHAHHAHAHA feel na feel amputs.”

Lately, people noticed that the fashion style of Madrid changed from his usual shirt with a blazer on top, paired with jeans to a more trendy and stylish type that’s somehow aligned with the ‘KPop’ fashion.

Some people found the resemblance between V and Madrid after the latter became a trending topic when he posted a mirror selfie on his Instagram account.
