Kim Chiu, the ex-girlfriend of Gerald Anderson, unintentionally mentioned the name of Julia Barretto while going through the actor’s Instagram account as part of a segment on It’s Showtime.
On Wednesday, during the Mas Testing segment of the noontime show, It’s Showtime, Kim played as the Tumpak Tracer.
One of her FUNishment is to like five Instagram posts of her ex-boyfriend. However, while scrolling in Gerald’s profile, she unwittingly mentioned the name of Julia who is rumored to be in a relationship with the actor. Unfortunately, the said part cannot be edited as they were airing live that day.
Netizens talked about this unintentional mistake of Kmi, but what caught their attention is the IG post of Julia after that ‘pagbubuking’ which has the caption: “Out here minding my own business.”
Meanwhile, columnist Lolit Solis reacted to Kim’s slip-up.
Solis affirmed that the alleged relationship between Julia and Gerald is already known to many.
“Sure ako Salve na iyon ‘pagbubuking’ ni Kim Chiu sa alam niyang relasyon nila Gerald Anderson at Julia Barretto alam naman ng marami.”
However, she wonders why until now the ‘couple’ kept it as a secret even though they are both single.
“Ewan ko kung ano ang dahilan para itago pa nila sa iba kung nagmamahalan sila samantalang wala naman silang sabit pareho.
“Pinaka mahirap sa lahat iyon tagong relasyon lalo pa at mahal nyo ang isa’t isa.”
Solis also recognized the fact that their connection became controversial because of the alleged ‘cheating’ issue. But she believes that everyone involved has moved on and it’s also time for both of them to move forward.
“So what kung naging controversial nuon una, tutal naman tapos na ang lahat, siguro naman kung may nasaktan naka move on narin, wala ng dapat itago. Iyon naman feelings nila ang importante, kung sila talaga ang nagmamahalan, why not?
To recall, Gerald was accused of cheating on Bea Alonzo, his girlfriend at that time when rumors circulated linking him to Julia.
After several months, maybe it is time to admit publicly the real deal between them. As Lolit said, if they truly love each other, they must not be ashamed of it.
“Mas lalo pang tanggap ng publiko na aminin nila, at open sila sa relasyon. Iyon pagmamahal dapat ipinagmamalaki, hindi ikinahihiya. Love conquers all.”
There have been several instances when people’s suspicions about the two increased.
In the Star Magic All-Star Games 2019 basketball game, it was observed by many how Julia joyfully cheered for Gerald Anderson who was eventually named as the Most Valuable Player. They also wore the same jersey number in the said event.
Along with their photos from their shooting of the movie Between Maybes, a photo where the two were seen holding hands also circulated online.
The two have yet to confirm their relationship.
