After the Philippines landed in the top 50 list of the world’s safest countries, some netizens and celebrities reacted to the results.

Even President Rodrigo Duterte admitted that he was surprised to learn that the Philippines was included in the list based on a recent report by analytics company Gallup.

On Instagram, KC Concepcion expressed her own reaction to Duterte’s about the list.

The star asked if this was the plot twist that we’re waiting for, “Ok is this the Plot Twist (that) we’ve been waiting for?”

In the study conducted by the US-based analytics firm Gallup Inc. or Gallup, the 2020 Global Law and Order Index published that the Philippines ranked in the top 50 of the world’s 144 safest countries.

The score of 84 put the  in a tie with Australia , New Zealand, Poland, and Serbia, and the global index of 82 was two points clear.

According to President Duterte, the government must give law enforcers credit for maintaining peace and order in the country.

“I read that in the briefer and it was – I was really surprised, We are in the Top 50 and we are lumped with countries that are really ideally peaceful.

“If it’s a recent survey, it only shows that, well, we have to credit the police and the military and the other uniformed services of the government who toil to make this country at least very peaceful,” he said.
