Marian had begged off from the teleserye, which was supposed to pair her off with Gabby Concepcion for the first time. This was due to the requirements for lock-in taping.
On the Instagram account of Marian, she posted a story to congratulate the First Yaya team who are currently in their lock-in taping.
When asked what she felt when she was told that Sanya Lopez was going to replace her on the teleserye, the actress gave her support.
“Ako, okay naman ako. Kahit sinong pumalit sakin sa First Yaya ay okay ako. Walang problema sa akin dahil ako naman ang umayaw at alam mo yun, nagpapasalamat nga ako kung sino man.
“O si Sanya ang nakatanggap ng First Yaya na role, nagpapasalamat ako dahil at least magagawa yung First Yaya dahil napakaganda ng kwento ng First Yaya.”
In any case, during her announcement a few months ago, Marian had already proclaimed her support for the show and staff.
“Sobrang sakit sa akin na ang First Yaya hindi ko nagawa kasi may lockdown sila sa taping, hindi makakauwi. Kaakibat nun, nanay ako, nagpapadede ako sa bunso kong anak.
“Mahihiwalay ako, hindi ko alam kung anong mangyayari sa akin sa labas, so nag-aalala talaga ako.”
First Yaya is the first title role played by Sanya Lopez.Here she is paired with veteran actor Gabby Concepcion. It follows the tale of a vice president (Gabby), who will later become the president of the Philippines, and Yaya Melody (Sanya), who will be his children’s nanny.
