The exciting and sincere William Bishop releases his folk beauty “The Night In Your Eyes”. Acoustic and wonderfully simple, the track drops January 27th.
Stripped back to musical essentials, guitar and voice duet in harmony. Though its plucks are complex there is a raw energy in the guitar part, and Bishop’s vocals are heartfelt and poignant
.“The song is about a relationship,” he explains, “a way of describing what happens between two people.” It is the clever wordplay and metaphor of his language that bring the song to life.
For Bishop music has always been central to his life, as a classically trained cellist and double bassist. Inspired by Bob Dylan and Tom Waits, both song and vocal style reflect their wit and emotion. Composing on guitar and piano, he is a multi-instrumentalist with the world at his feet, and “The Night In Your Eyes” points towards a bright 2021 and beyond for William Bishop.
