A week ago, rumor has it that the Kapuso actress Lovi Poe is set to transfer from GMA Network to ABS-CBN; as her ongoing Kapuso teleserye Owe My Love will end its run soon.
Poe is rumored to be part of ABS-CBN’s upcoming adaptation of the BBC drama Doctor Foster, the source material of the Korean drama The World of Married. Netizens are curious about Poe’s move to ABS-CBN as it is said that she is considered to be one of the top choices to play the role of a mistress in the said ABS-CBN remake.
Poe, who is with GMA Network since 2006, her contract expired in July 2020. The last time she signed a contract with GMA Network was in 2016. This means that she can work with other networks.
However, things are not yet set in stone for Poe. The question is will she remain or will she leave GMA Network?
According to a report on Pilipino Star Ngayon, she pursues her career under the GMA network hence she got a counteroffer by the Network.
With the ongoing negotiations for the long-time GMA Network actress between her camp and the Kapuso Network, matters about Poe’s switching network remain unsettled.
For now, the Kapuso actress is also happy with the success of her current show Owe My Love, which is consistent in high ratings on prime time slot.
Poe is also one of the promising actresses of GMA Network who has successfully risen to fame. Her name was carved in the film industry as she was able to star in more than 25 films in her 15 years in showbiz.
If she finally set her mind about moving to ABS-CBN, she will not be the only homegrown talent that came from GMA as actresses Sunshine Dizon and Janine Gutierrez joined the Kapamilya Network amid the pandemic and franchise controversy.
