Kapuso star and Senator Bong Revilla Jr. revealed that Agimat ng Agila is set to have Book 2.
The Kapuso action-fantasy mini-series which debuted on May 1 is set to run for 13 episodes. Currently, the program is on its 8th episode and will be nearing its season finale.
Agimat ng Agila was Revilla’s vehicle to his TV comeback after a long break following his jail time for his involvement in the controversial PDAF scam.
Meanwhile, according to Pep Troika, a Kapamilya actor is set to join the Kapuso mini-series in its second season.
The Kapamilya lead star is said to be playing the kontrabida role in the series’ Book 2.
Revilla however, preferred not to confirm the identity of the actor until it is really confirmed that he is joining the show’s next season.
Agimat ng Agila since the start has been doing well in terms of ratings.

During its pilot, the program easily beats its rival with a rating score of 16.3%.
And based on the most recent rating data from AGB Nielsen NUTAM survey, the Kapuso mini-series still continues its good showing in the rating game.
For its June 5 episode, Agimat ng Agila scored 16.3% rating and occupied the number 5 spot of the Top 20 overall most-watch programs in the country.
