There is news of Kapamilya personalities and talents moving into the Kapuso network. Is showbiz reporter Ogie Diaz one of them?
On his YouTube Channel, Diaz confirmed his stand that he will not leave ABS-CBN.
“Naku hindi. Hindi ako kukunin nun. Alam mo, as much as I want to work with John Lloyd again and Direk Bobot. Eh, syempre hindi pa rin, ABS-CBN pa rin ako. ‘Yun lang naman ‘yun.”
He added how the network helped him and his family.
“Kasi, ‘yung bahay ko naman galing sa ABS. Kasi, ‘yung mga tinutulong ko naman sa tatay ko sa mga kapatid ko sa pamilya ko mismo galing sa ABS. So hindi para makalimutan ko ‘yung ABS.”
Diaz also said, “So, kung walang pang ABS, magyu-YouTube muna ako at ‘pag nand’yan na ang ABS edi jusko, go ako.”
Recently, there has been a movement of Kapamilya talents and personalities such as Beauty Gonzalez, Johnny Manahan, Mariole Alberto, and John Lloyd Cruz moving into GMA Network.
As for Diaz, he is vocal in supporting ABS-CBN, especially during its shutdown in 2020.
Diaz is with the Kapamilya network since 1991 and has appeared in multiple talk shows and productions.
