Finally, Jane de Leon will soon soar as the new Darna in Mars Ravelo’s Darna: The TV Series. Taping will start in September.
De Leon will conclude her appearance in the primetime hit action-drama series, FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.
De Leon is Capt. Natalia ‘Lia’ Mante in the Coco Martin-starrer series. She is Cardo Dalisay’s (Martin) nemesis-turned-ally. She joined the series in January 2021.
After more than six months with the series, De Leon will have her exit as long-awaited action-fantasy series, Darna will be grinding a month from now.
The taping got canceled several times due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
It was supposed to be a movie at first but was turned into a TV series.
Even though the series had its highs and lows, ABS-CBN previously announced that De Leon will still fly as Darna.
The announcement was made on December 4, 2020, during the media conference of Star Magic where De Leon signed an exclusive contract with ABS-CBN along with other Kapamilya artists.
Despite the previous postponement of the series, De Leon still has the support of the people as her role on FPJAP boosted her image in preparation for her role as Darna.
When the actress posted photos from behind-the-scenes, where she posed with Coco Martin on Instagram, netizens praised her in the comment section for a job well done in FPJAP.
