Kapuso actress Shaira Diaz gets the shock of her life after GMA Network decided to renew her contract after it signed a number of Kapamilya stars lately.
In the virtual press conference for her contract renewal on Wednesday, July 7, the actress admitted being surprised after she received the news that she will still remain as a Kapuso talent.
“Nagulat ako. I mean nakakatuwa at napakasarap sa pakiramdam na ni-renew nila ako. Sobrang nagpapasalamat ako. Kasi ever since na nag-start ako no’ng 2018 with them, ang gaganda nung mga projects na nilatag nila sa’kin,” she admitted.
Unfortunately, some of her fellow Kapuso artists were not renewed. This may be because of the many Kapamilya stars transferring to GMA Network recently.
Still, Shaira is very happy and assured that the Network is trusting her capabilities as an artist.
“S’yempre super happy. Kasi ngayong nasa pandemic tayo parang ang hirap-hirap makahanap nang trabaho, parang walang kasiguraduhan sa lahat. So the fact na ni-renew nila ako, means a lot to me. Nandoon ang trust. At sobrang grateful ako sa GMA Artist Center,” thanked the actress.
Shaira already had been a part of GMA Network‘s big projects such as the 2019 series, Love You Two even before landing Lolong. With opportunities as grand as her 2019 soap, the actress believes that the Kapuso Network trusts her to deliver for every role she is given.
“Siguro doon sa assurance, nararamdaman ko naman na ang GMA is really trusting me with projects, yung mga malalaking projects.”
Currently, Shaira is on day 2 of quarantine for her Lolong project. And as a recently renewed artist, the actress is hoping for more projects after the show.
“More projects after ng Lolong. Sana makasama ako sa mga bagong shows ng GMA. Kasi I heard na andaming bagong shows na naka-line up. So sana makasama ako dun at maka-trabaho ang iba nating Kapuso actors,” she hoped.
