After four years, the renowned director Mae Cruz Alviar and the celebrity couple Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla will soon reunite to start working on a new series.
Alviar directed the blockbuster KathNiel films Crazy Beautiful You (2015) and Can’t Help Falling in Love (2017).
On Instagram, Alviar posted a photo of a package labeled as ‘KathNiel Look Test.’
The director captioned the post by thanking Hotbox Philippines.

A look test is part of the pre-production procedure where cast members try on the wardrobe of the characters they will portray to see how they would look on the screen with their co-actors.
Via Instagram Stories, Bernardo shared a photo of a gift with a letter she received.
The message within the letter entails:
“Dearest Kath,
Enjoy the Journey!
Love, RSB”
RSB wished for Bernardo to enjoy her journey.
RSB is the initials of Ruel S. Bayani, the ABS-CBN head of scripted and narrative programs.
In July 2021, during The Purple Chair Interview with Boy Abunda, Padilla confirmed that a new series and a movie with his girlfriend Kathryn Bernardo are already in the pipeline.
Padilla and Bernardo’s last film [together] was The Hows of Us (2018), which earned the title of the top-grossing Philippine film of all time and is considered as one of the first locally produced movies to reach the ₱600 million mark in domestic earnings.
It was then followed by their recent series titled The House Arrest of Us, which had 13 episodes and ended in the first quarter of 2021.
