Kapuso singer Aicelle Santos surprisingly expressed her sentiment about corrupt politicians on Monday, November 22, after she paid her taxes.

Based on her previous tweets, Santos was mum about politics but in her most recent tweet, Santos voiced out her frustrations as she wrote: “Kakabayad lang ulit ng tax.

The singer then urged the public to vote wisely in the upcoming election, noting that Filipinos should be wary of candidates who have been either linked or suspected of corruption.
Netizens agreed with her sentiment and some, even though the singer did not drop names, concluded that Filipinos should not elect another Marcos.

Political candidates who spend a lot during elections, 6 years will be too short to recoup expenses and enrich themselves, at the same time. For those who depend on contributions from ordinary folks, 1 year is enough to make a difference in the lives of common citizens.
