Jason Abalos shares thoughts on the actors who faded away from showbiz

On November 16, Kapuso actor Jason Abalos shared his thoughts on actors who faded away from showbiz.

During the media conference for his contract renewal with GMA Artist Center, Abalos recalled seeing actors ’90s who disappeared from showbiz.

Nakikita ko sila, sabi ko, bakit ganito ‘yung nangyari.”

He added that he wants to be like the late Eddie Garcia and the seasoned actor Albert Martinez who retained their longevity in showbiz.

He then admitted having fears of slowly fading away from the limelight himself.

However, he recalled Martinez’s advice to him about his career path in showbiz as an actor.

“Sabi ko, ‘oo nga no?’ Para sa kanya manggaling ‘yun. Alam na niya kasi, na-experience na niya eh. Kaya hanggang ngayon nandito pa rin. So sir Albert, thank you!”

He then shared his thoughts about reinventing himself as an actor.

Aside from his showbiz career, Abalos is also taking up his master’s degree in Management, majoring in Public Administration at the Philippine Christian University.

He admitted that he has always wanted to go back to school during his younger years in showbiz.

So, when the pandemic hit, he took it as an opportunity to pursue his higher education.

Abalos began his career with Star Magic in 2004. He starred in various Kapamilya projects such as Vietnam Rose, Agua Bendita, and 100 Days to Heaven. He transferred to GMA Network in 2017, wherein he worked Kapuso teleseryes such as The One That Got Away, Asawa ko Karibal ko and now, Las Hermanas.
