Wency Cornejo reacts on VP Leni Robredo’s post about delivery scams

On November 27, AfterImage vocalist Wency Cornejo questioned Vice President Leni Robredo’s post sharing her experience about receiving scam orders.

VP Robredo’s post detailed her camp’s experience receiving three cash-on-delivery drivers with groceries worth Php100,000 under her name. However, she clarified her team didn’t order the said items.

She also expressed concern about the three delivery drivers who became the victim of prank orders. Thankfully, Metromart worked with VP Robredo’s camp in returning the items.

However, Cornejo went on social media to question how the said drivers delivered items worth Php100,000 if they were only using motorcycles.

His response received mixed reactions from netizens on twitter.

Some netizens cited their experience in ordering grocery items worth Php15,000 to Php 30,000.

Malamang walang experience to magpagrocery thru riders.

Other netizens cited the official statement released by Metromart, noting that Cornejo should ask them and not VP Robredo.

Other netizens who have backend experience in delivering grocery items shared their thoughts on the matter.

Metromart also released a statement about the said incident confirming the scam groceries ordered for VP Robredo’s office under her name.

The grocery establishment said they increased their security and fraud detection measures to prevent the prank orders from happening again.

Aside from his recent reaction to VP Robredo’s recent post, Cornejo’s facebook timeline showed that he had been actively criticizing the Presidential aspirant.

However, he had already voiced his support to the Vice President aspirant, Sara Duterte.

Cornejo was part the ’90s band AfterImage who popularized songs such as Habang May Buhay, Next in Line, and Mangarap Ka.
