Sexy actress Cindy Miranda gets to star alongside John Arcilla and Sid Lucero in Reroute. On Wednesday, January 5, she expressed how overwhelmed she was to be given such a wonderful opportunity.
“Grabe parang feeling ko hindi pa ako nanalo sa lotto pero I felt that way,” she blurted during the movie’s virtual media conference.
Miranda even admitted she did not think twice about accepting the project knowing that she’ll be working with Arcilla.
“Oh my gosh hindi po ako nag-isip. As in hindi ako nagdalawang-isip as in yes, of course, it’s John Arcilla. I’ll be part of that movie.”
Given that Reroute features some of the biggest names in the industry, Miranda said she felt intimidated during the film’s production as their lines were mostly done in improv. Fortunately, she worked with Arcilla and Lucero, who guided her throughout their scenes.
“Actually palagi po nila akong binibigyan ng advices, binubulungan lang po nila ako. Ang palagi nilang sinasabi, ‘basta alamin mo lang yung intensyon ng eksena.’ Coz’ you know in this movie po, puro adlib po kami. And we were revising the story while shooting. That’s how… grabe! Ang galing po ng movie na ‘to,” shared Miranda.
She also felt pressured by her co-stars. Thankfully, because of her pageant training, Miranda could play her role right.
“Ayoko pong mapahiya sila, mapahiya sa harap nila, and of course ayokong mapahiya ang buong team because of me. Kasi s’yempre pinagkatiwalaan nila ako,” stressed the sexy actress.
Although there was pressure, Miranda was also grateful that her co-stars did not give her a hard time. She said she felt like she was on par with Arcilla and Lucero because they treated her.
“Sobrang na-intimidate po ako. But you know they are very very nice people na hindi nila ipaparamdam kung ano man ang narating nila and kung sino sila ngayon.
“Wala akong naramdaman na ‘baguhan ka lang, and kami matagal na kami dito’ wala pong ganoon. Tinrato nila ako na normal, they respected me na alam mo ‘yon, na parang pareho lang ako sa kanila. Nakakatuwa,” she admitted.
Miranda even received praise from Arcilla himself, describing her as a “beautiful animé.” She responded saying, “Nakakilig po. May picture ako sa kanya na hanggang ngayon kinikilig ako kapag tinitignan ko. And I’m following him on social media niya and everytime he posts a photo, I comment and like. Ganoon po ako ka-fan ni sir John Arcilla.”
Reroute also includes Nathalie Hart and is directed by Lawrence Fajardo. The film will be streaming on Vivamax, January 21.
