Mariel Rodriguez admitted she became emotional when Robin Padilla did not spend the holiday season with her. The latter chose to help the victims of typhoon Odette.
On December 29, Rodriguez posted a vlog highlighting their Christmas celebration without Robin Padilla on her YouTube channel.
“We are preparing for our Christmas eve and ako talaga ang wish ko lang talaga ha, haha, buo ang pamilya and hindi mangyayari dahil nagkaroon ng bagyo.
“And dahil sa bagyo, si Robin nasa out where, na-shock nga ako kasi nagpakamatay akong magluto ng steak tapos ‘yung asawa ko namimigay ng mga milyones.
“Namimigay siya kasi ganu’n siya talaga hindi dahil he’s running for senate or anything kasi ganu’n siya talaga kahit dati pa,” she shared.
On January 5, Rodriguez posted their New Year’s Eve celebration without Padilla.
“This is again, hindi ko masabing sad. So as you guys know that we were not able to spend Christmas together dahil umuwi siya ng 29 [December], umalis din siya ng 30.”
Rodriguez confessed she felt like she was a single mother during the holidays.
“Kami ngayon ay LDR, long distance relationship,” Rodriguez stated.
“OFW ako, eh,” Padilla replied.
“Heto, hindi pa nakakauwi may next schedule naman, Palawan naman daw, sabi ko itutuloy-tuloy ko na ang pagiging single mom ko!” she responded.
“Mukha namang happy ka na single mom ka eh,” her husband jokingly said.
Rodriguez met Padilla when the latter became the first guest host of hit noontime show Wowowee. On August 19, 2010, Padilla and Rodriguez tied the knot at the Taj Mahal in Agra, India.
