On Monday, March 28, Ana Jalandoni faced the issues surrounding the abuse she received from her boyfriend, Kit Thompson.
She was accompanied by her father, older sister, and legal counsel at a press conference in Quezon City.
After being seriously injured by the actor, rumors surfaced that a third party caused it. However, Jalandoni denied that there was none.
Jalandoni was also accused of being pregnant.
“Wala po, hindi po ako buntis,” she refuted.
She, however, was married once.
“Pangalawa, kinasal po ako noon, sa States po. Pero hindi po kami nagsama sa isang bahay. Kasi September 2017’yon, December kami umuwi noon, January 2018, hiwalay na po kami,” explained the victim.
According to her, the violence stemmed from Thompson’s jealousy after they had a conversation regarding her former boyfriend. Their intoxication may also be one of the factors why the actor assaulted her.
“Perception ko lang is siguro pumasok sa isip niya na iiwan ko siya gaya ng ginawa ko sa ex ko. Eh siyempre nakainom nga kami. Kasi umalis ako ng pinto eh. Mga ilang minutes din niya akong hinanap kaya akala niya, iniwan ko siya.”
Thompson was also alleged to be using drugs, which Jalandoni admitted was true. But she took his side, explaining she only saw a marijuana joint.
“May nakita po akong marijuana pero hindi naman siya nag-take sa harapan. Wala naman kung anong mga pills.”
The physical altercation happened on March 17 in a hotel in Tagaytay. Police rescued Jalandoni, who suffered serious injuries, including a swollen eye that caused minor vision loss.
Thompson was currently released on bail. He is yet to release his side of the story.
