Cristy Fermin admitted that James Yap was why Ai Ai Delas Alas and Kris Aquino’s friendship fell apart.
On March 18, on her newest showbiz vlog, Showbiz Now, Fermin recalled the story of how Delas Alas and Aquino’s relationship began to fade.
“Noong mga panahon na nagkakaroon ng problema si James Yap at saka si Kris Aquino, ang tinatawagan palagi ni Kris si Ai-Ai. Di ba sa best friend tayo naglalabas ng ating emosyon, nanghihingi ng payo at naghihingi ng opinyon kung ano ang ating gagawin, para matapos ang problem.”
Delas Alas gave her advice to Aquino, saying that if the latter is not happy anymore with her relationship with Yap, she should return her lover to her mother.
“Sinabi niya iyon, ni Kris, noong magbati na sila ni James Yap na, ‘You know what, si Ai-Ai, she told me na ibalik na lang kita sa nanay mo,’” Fermin stated.
Yap confronted Delas Alas, asking her why she gave that advice to Aquino. He also questioned her about why she meddled in their relationship.
Delas Alas became angry and revealed that Aquino was the one who called her and asked for her advice.
Delas Alas and Aquino were the original judges for the reality talent competition show, Pilipinas Got Talent. The two also worked together in Sisterakas (2012).
