On May 6, Kapamilya Love Team Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla revealed how they maintained their longevity.
At the media conference for KathNiel’s series 2 Good 2 Be True, Bernardo attributed their staying power as the Kapamilya Network’s premiere loveteam to respect and teamwork.
“There’s no exact formula talaga na if you do this, magiging ten years din kayo ng love team mo, ito ‘yung secret. But I think, if there’s something na since day one up until now, ten years after, it’s the– of course, respect and the team work. ‘Yun ‘yung ginagawa namin ni DJ over the years. And ‘yun ‘yung nagwo-work for us.
“So hindi ko rin masabi na gawin niyo ‘yun tapos ‘yun ‘yung mangyayari ‘yun but teamwork kasi is very important na hindi ninyo nakikita ‘yung isa’t isa as competition kasi dapat nagtutulungan kayo paakyat.”
She also recalled how Padilla helped her with a scene for 2 Good 2 Be True as a testament to their teamwork.
“And with DJ, ayun hawak-kamay kami eh through thick and thin nandiyan kami para sa isa’t isa. Just recently, actually just yesterday, mayroon akong nahirapan na eksena, kasi feeling ko hindi ako ready don, and then sinabihan lang ako ni DJ na Oh My God, na feel ko na. So that’s very important na tinutulungan ninyo ang isa’t isa to be better.”
Padilla echoed Bernardo’s statement, noting that the love and respect between the real-life couple helped maintain their longevity.
“It’s love and respect and support ninyo sa isa’t isa. ‘Yun lang ‘yung– ‘yun ‘yung ano din namin sa mga eksena, ‘yung suporta namin sa isa’t isa. Madali man o mahirap, actually wala namang madali- mahirap na eksena. Sa kahit anong eksena eh ‘yung suporta namin sa isa’t isa ‘yun ‘yung pinaka importante.”
As for the series, 2 Good 2 Be True stars the Kapamilya Network’s Loveteam Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla.

Under the direction of Mae Cruz-Alviar and Paco Sta. Maria, 2 Good 2 Be True streams on Netflix Philippines and iWantTFC on May 13.
Then it officially airs via Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, A2Z, and TV5 beginning May 16.
